The Board of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine summed up the results of the candidate selection for the project "The New Face of Management" (NFM).

The Board of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine summed up the results of the candidate selection for the project "The New Face of Management" (NFM).

It will be recalled that the NFM is implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine and the IOM International Organization for Migration. It provides an opportunity to openly, without corruption, nepotism and agreements to select candidates for leadership positions. The appointment is based on a rating, which is formed by clear objective indicators.

The second stage of candidate selection for the positions of chiefs of border guard detachments took place from 14 to 16 July. It was attended by 16 officers who took a comprehensive test on border security. Candidates' physical training, weapons skills, knowledge of business Ukrainian and foreign languages were also assessed. All participants agreed to undergo polygraph examinations, as well as passed a qualifying interview.

At the meeting of the Board of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, it was decided to include officers who occupied the first 10 positions of the rating in the personnel reserve for appointment to the positions of chiefs of detachments. The leaders were immediately removed from the reserve and appointed to high positions. The Board decided to appoint Colonel Viktor Lutskov, who was at the top of the rankings, to the post of Chief of the Izmail Border Guard Detachment and Colonel Oleh Chychanovskyi from the second position in a rating was appointed to the position of the chief of the Berdiansk Border Guard Detachment. Prior to that, Viktor Lutskov headed the Main Service Management Centre, and Oleh Chychanovskyi was the Deputy Chief of the Kherson Border Guard Detachment. The Board of the State Border Guard Service also decided to appoint Lieutenant Colonel Vadym Bohonos as the First Deputy Chief of the Podolsk Border Guard Detachment. He was in the personnel reserve for the relevant position following the results of one of the past selections under the NFM project for the positions of chiefs of staff.
