Yesterday, local inhabitants’ protests and attempts to block border guard units took place around several Donetsk border guard detachment units. In the course of negotiations with the protesters it was found that the reason of such actions is connected with online-media and social networks publications of provocative information on allegedly Donetsk detachment redeployment to Dnipropetrovsk in order to reform it to the troops under the umbrella of "Right sector" and foreign instructors. Despite the informational campaign held on local television and in print media explaining that the border guards will not go anywhere and stay in place, protesters continue controlling border guard service units.

In this regard, the State Border Guard Service officially informs that the information appeared in some web-publications regarding Donetsk border guard detachment redeployment to Dnepropetrovsk city for the purpose of reorganization is not true. All the units perform tasks of state border guarding within their sectors of responsibility and serve in a strengthened variant with the maximum use of all available forces and facilities.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine jointly with the Armed Forces, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Security Service conduct unprecedented measures on border protection and regime ensuring in border regions. During last 24 hours, nearly 465 citizens of the Russian Federation were refused to enter Ukraine. Besides, the other 25 citizens were refused for entry at the Transnistrian border sector. All these persons were not able to confirm the purpose of the trip and probably followed to destabilize the situation in Ukraine
