On completing the course, all participants received certificates.

The active phase of comprehensive training lasted from 19 to 22 July. During this phase, such procedures as the development of a battle order for the battalion, work at the command post during operations (actions in the offensive and defense), mass evacuation of the wounded were worked out.

At one stage of the training, servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine took a course on tactical assistance to the wounded in combat (TCCC). The course was conducted by instructors of the Joint Operational and Tactical Group (Operation UNIFIER) of the Canadian Armed Forces in Ukraine.

During the training sessions, the participants of the course in groups provided assistance to simulated wounded persons in situations suddenly modulated by Canadian instructors. The scenarios were as realistic as possible, because in addition to medical instructors, tactical instructors were also involved in the course. They tried to work out the situations for the fighters to have to act in different conditions and come out different threats. Appropriate locations were used to provide assistance in the event of injuries from improvised explosive devices, bullet wounds, and indoor injuries.

On completing the course, all participants received certificates.

It should be mentioned that the comprehensive interdepartmental preparation of the State Border Guard Service units, the National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the international exercise "Rapid Trident - 2021" began on July 5 at the International Center of the National Guard. The exercises are conducted by the Canadian military from the Joint Operational and Tactical Group of the Armed Forces of Canada in Ukraine (Operation #UNIFIER).

For the Ukrainian side, foreign colleagues conduct classes on the military decision-making process (MDMP), the work of commanders for the organization of combat (TLP), tactics of operations during operations in the city, fire training, radio negotiations, tactical medicine and engineering training. Canadian instructors also evaluate the work of units during the command and staff tactical exercise.

“Subdivisions of the State Border Guard Service take part in joint collective training and multinational exercises as part of the security and defense sector of our state. It is necessary for working off of uniform system of divisions management, tactics of action, cohesion and accurate interaction,” the chief of the Personnel Department of Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine colonel Ihor Levadnyi said.

The Ukrainian-American command and staff exercise involving troops “Rapid Trident – 2021” is scheduled for September this year.
