A four-week specialized training course for polygraph examiners was recently completed.

As part of international assistance, the US Embassy in Ukraine organized and held a training course for polygraph examiners, in which, together with representatives of other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, representatives of the State Border Service took part.

A four-week basic training course for polygraph examiners for law enforcement agencies of Ukraine was recently completed. Fundamental knowledge and many years of practical experience were shared by well-known American trainers who conducted a course based on the program of the American International Polygraph Institute. Polygraph specialists of the State Border Guard Service, graduates of previous basic courses who have proven themselves to be real professionals in this field, were invited to help with the practical part of the course.

Also, in May of this year, practicing polygraph experts had the opportunity to attend an advanced training course and a conference, which was held with the participation of lecturers from the United States of America.

This format of communication gives an opportunity to learn invaluable experience from experts in this field. Therefore, the State Border Service of Ukraine follows the generally recognized international practice of conducting polygraph examinations.
