In Lviv region, Smilnytsia division detail stopped a car with illegal migrants near the border with Poland.

Law enforcement officers stopped a car with Lithuanian registration numbers at a checkpoint near the city of Dobromyl. The driver of the vehicle was a citizen of Ukraine. Three passengers – two Indian citizens and one Nepalese citizen were carried in the vehicle. As it turned out, all three foreigners arrived in Ukraine legally in 2020-2021. And at the Ukrainian-Polish border, they found themselves together, because they intended to illegally enter the territory of the European Union from Ukraine and continue their journey to France.

Because of the vigilance of the Ukrainian border guards, the Indians and Nepalese were not sent to Paris, but to special premises for temporary detention of illegal migrants. Administrative proceedings were issued against them for attempting to illegally cross the border. In addition, law enforcement officers identify persons who may be involved in organizing illegal travel of foreigners through Ukraine.
