Information on tobacco smuggling across the state border of Ukraine was obtained in advance by operatives of the State Border Guard Service.

At the border with Belarus, at the “Vilcha” border crossing point, border guards found tobacco products in a Citroën minibus. During an in-depth inspection of a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Belarusian from a neighboring country, a joint group of border guards and customs officers found 200 packs of tobacco products on a double bottom, set up in the truck's cargo compartment.

Smuggled cigarettes, estimated at UAH 4,000 and a car worth UAH 200,000 were confiscated by customs officials.
