Last weekend the border guards of MOSTYSKA border detachment in cooperation with customs officials prevented two German citizens from smuggling in of medical equipment, the total value of which exceeded 500 thousand UAH.

On Saturday night the border guards of KRAKOVETS division initiated second line check of AUDI car driven by a citizen of Germany. Joint border and customs inspection group found packages with medical equipment in the vehicle that was entering Ukraine through a "green lane" without declaring importation of any goods or items. The traveller was transporting five routers of SOPHOS and HP brands in the trunk of his car estimated cost of which made up just over 325 thousand hryvnas.

On the same day and at the same checkpoint another German citizen using a "green lane" attempted to bring into Ukraine 12 items of medical equipment. His MERCEDES car was also sent for thorough inspection, during which medical equipment worth over 198 thousand UAH was revealed.
