Recently, two groups of Ukrainian border guards underwent professional training in the Republic of Poland.

In particular, 15 lieutenants, who this year began their service in the border guard units of administrative and jurisdictional activities on various sections of the Ukrainian border, studied for a week at the Center for Specialized Training of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland in Luban. The young officers gained the necessary knowledge of European experience in working with foreign offenders, as well as approaches to combating illegal migration.

Another 10 officers of the State Border Guard Service from the border guard units were trained in Warsaw. Specialists of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland helped their Ukrainian colleagues to improve their skills in resolving intercultural conflicts that may arise among detained foreign offenders.

The training took place due to the long-term cooperation of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with the Polish Border Guard. For more than three years, this cooperation has improved the skills of more than 190 servicemen, whose activities are directly related to working with illegal migrants detained for violating border legislation.
