An attempt to smuggle undeclared goods across the Ukrainian-Polish border was prevented by border guards and customs officers at the Shehyni checkpoint.

The 41-year-old Ukrainian was traveling from Spain to Ukraine in a Man truck. During the control, the driver said that he was transporting humanitarian aid. At the initiative of the operatives, the vehicle was sent for additional inspection. Subsequently, the inspectors found undeclared cargo. Under the guise of humanitarian aid, a resident of Lviv region tried to illegally move a used tractor, motorcycle, compressors and tires.

A report was drawn up over this fact. The “finds”, the value of which is being established, were withdrawn by customs officers.
