Yesterday, on the first day of the new year, the russian occupying forces continued shelling the Ukrainian border areas.

The enemy inflicted fire damage using rocket and barrel artillery, as well as 120-mm mortars. The Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Esman and Shalyhine communities of the Sumy Oblast and the Semenivka community of the Chernihiv Oblast came under enemy fire.

In the first half of the day, the enemy fired 17 mines of 120 mm caliber on the border area of the Semenivka community from the settlement of kurkovychi.

The enemy fired the Esman community with 35 projectiles from the rocket salvo system from the area of the settlement of lokot.

The russian army shelled the Shalyhine community with barrel artillery and mortars – there were 18 hits from the villages of kozino and horodyshche.

Twice a day, the russian occupiers covered the territory of the Bilopillia community with 120-mm mortars, in total there were almost three dozen explosions. The fire came from the russian settlement of tiotkino.

In the afternoon, the invaders from the russian settlement of pliohovo hit the territory of the Myropillia community with 122 mm barrel artillery, there were half a dozen explosions.

Late in the evening, the russian occupiers shelled the territory of the Krasnopillia community with 82-mm mortars, there were more than half a dozen hits. The fire was coming from the russian settlement of dronovka.
