Administrative and jurisdictional activities of the State Border Guard Service units require a constant, balanced and professional response to any manifestations of illegal activities at the state border.

Last year, the State Border Guard Service officials, based on the results of administrative proceedings, referred to the competence of the SBGS, drew up more than 33 thousand protocols on administrative offenses with fines amounting to more than 61.6 million UAH. And this is due to the reduction of passenger traffic due to quarantine restrictions three times (in 2020 - 32.7 million people).

In addition, in 2020 under Art. 203 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the rules of stay in Ukraine), more than 8,000 foreigners were identified and fined of over UAH 30 million.

We will remind, on offenders according to article 203 of the Code of Administrative Offenses the penalty in the amount from 1 700 UAH to 5 100 UAH is imposed. However, taking into account the quarantine introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, as well as the current law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Aimed at Preventing the Occurrence and Spread of Coronavirus COVID-19”, adopted on March 17, 2020, violators rules of stay in Ukraine are exempt from bringing them to administrative responsibility under Art. 203 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, if they were unable to leave Ukraine in time during or as a result of quarantine.
