The pipeline, more than 2 km long, was discovered yesterday on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border.

During the checks of operational information on possible preparations for illegal activities, border guards of the Podolsk detachment together with representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine found a polyethylene pipe on the shoal of the Kuchurhansky reservoir.

As the border guards found out, the pipeline ran from the state border underwater and underground and went to a private household in the village Pavlivka, Rozdilnyansky district.

The construction was most likely planned by smugglers to smuggle alcohol. After all, during the inspection of the apartment, law enforcement officers found two empty containers with a capacity of 2,000 liters each for possible storage of illegally transported liquid.

The special ops divers department of the Odessa Marine Guard Detachment was involved in dismantling the pipeline. In total, more than 2,000 meters of polyethylene pipe were dismantled and handed over to the “Stepanivka” Border Guard Division for safekeeping.
