Since the beginning of 2022, the border guards have allowed more than 141,000 people and 23.7 thousand vehicles to enter and leave the state.

97 foreigners, 25 of them Russian citizens, were denied entry.

The border guards detained 10 people for the illegal crossing of the border and attempting to cross the state border illegally outside checkpoints.

Using SafeBorder software, border guards checked more than 24,000 COVID-19 certificates, found 6 forged ones (3 at the Kyiv checkpoint and 3 at the checkpoints of the Southern Regional Directorate) since the beginning of 2022.

24 offenders were given the copies of resolutions on the imposition of administrative penalties for the offenses in the field of road safety, recorded automatically by the border guards.

Most of these resolutions were handed over on the border with Moldova - 17 (at the checkpoints “Kuchurgan”, “Platonove”, “Mohyliv-Podilskyi”, “Vynohradivka”, “Tabaky”, “Starokozache”). The “surprises” were also waiting for the offenders at checkpoints on the border with Belarus - 3 resolutions were handed over (at checkpoints “Nowi Yarilovichi” and “Vystupovichi”), on the border with Russia (checkpoint “Bachivsk”) - 1 resolution was handed over, and on the border with Poland at the Yahodyn checkpoint - also 1 resolution. Two more violators got the resolutions at Boryspil and Odessa airports.

It should be noted that in order to ensure the rhythm of check-in operations for the New Year and Christmas holidays, the number of border patrols for checking documents and inspecting vehicles has been increased at checkpoints.
