On the base of the Training Center for the use and operation of unmanned aerial systems of the Main Center, training of remote pilots of unmanned aerial systems of multirotor type was conducted

Border guards of Volyn, Chernihiv and Zhytomyr detachments took part in the exercises.

During the training, they performed tasks on air monitoring of the state border during the day and night, search and maintenance of targets. Border guards received permits to operate Mavic 2 Enterprise, DJI Matrice 200 V2 and DJI Matrice 300 RTK unmanned aerial vehicles.

It should be noted that the DJI Matrice 300 RTK complexes were purchased by the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine under a state defense order at the end of 2021. Each complex includes three unmanned aerial vehicles with obstacle recognition systems. This model of UAVs has increased battery capacity, which corresponds to the increased flight time to 40 minutes. This version also has an improved day camera and thermal imager, which allows for better monitoring of the state border.

During the training, border guards studied the purpose, capabilities, tactical and technical characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles. Significant attention was also paid to the study of the content of guiding documents on the organization and implementation of state aviation flights, the requirements of air navigation, meteorological and ornithological support of flights.

During the practical training, the personnel learned to fly unmanned aerial vehicles, performing search, recognition and support of objects during air reconnaissance.
