Cadets of the Seamen’s Secondary School welcomed the maritime border guards of the Maritime Guard Training Centre to their summer camp.

The servicemen told the young cadets about their service, showed them training weapons and special equipment, which the cadets had the opportunity to hold in their hands and try on.

The children put many different questions to the border guards. A tactical combat helmet - what class and protection does it have, and does it reliably protect against bullet fragments, explosions and falls? How do active headphones work? How to control a drone?

A tactical tile pusher with a quick release system also attracted a lot of attention. Even the young ladies expressed a desire to try it on and take a photo as a souvenir.

Stanislav, a social support officer and psychologist by profession, answered the children's questions, and also explained in detail how to choose the right equipment, what tasks it is needed for, and its effectiveness in performing certain tasks.

Iryna, a teacher of general disciplines, showed a master class on first aid. Iryna demonstrated what a tourniquet is, why everyone should have one now, how to stop massive bleeding and tourniquet application techniques. Visitors of the summer camp also joined the training with interest.

The cadets of the Seamen’s Secondary School expressed their hopes and sincere desire to meet again.

The sailors-border guards thanked them for their hospitality and wished the school family not to lose faith in the Victory and to have only the warm feelings of happiness, kindness and brotherhood in their hearts, in the name of peace and a happy future for our Ukraine.
