Recently, border guards of Chop border guard detachment detained two citizens of Russia at “Onokivtsi” border checkpoint, Zakarpattia oblast.

After triggering of technical means, border guards with service dog detained a man and a woman, 300 meters from the state border. As they said they were 25-years-old citizens of Russia. Also it was cleared that they illegally traveled to the European Union, specifically to Austria with the purpose of employment. The man also told that they used “Google maps” to plan their itinerary.

The offenders were transferred to the “Uzhhorod” border guard division to further clarification of the circumstances and drawing up administrative and procedural documents. The court will decide fate of the offenders.
