A citizen of Transcarpathian region was charged with a criminal offence for an attempt to illegally move two men across the state border for 4,500 US dollars

A citizen of Ukraine, a resident of the village of Rakosh in Transcarpathian region, who was engaged in illegal movement of people across the border, was exposed by the representatives of the Central Operational Department of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment. The detention was held in cooperation with Khust District Police Department of the General Directorate of National Police in Transcarpathian region and Khust District Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region. The exposure was conducted under the procedural guidance of the Khust District Prosecutor's Office.

As part of the criminal proceedings initiated by the representatives of the Central Operational Department of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment, the law enforcement officers established that the man organized the movement of two coscripts to Romania for 4,500 US dollars. The “entrepreneur” was arrested at the scene of the crime while receiving the money for his illegal “business plan”.

Such illegal actions are punishable under article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to nine years. There has been an investigation into this case at the moment.
