A local resident of Lviv region, who organized a scheme to traffick human beings across the border, was notified of being suspected of committing a criminal offense.

According to law enforcement officials, the offender and his partners in crime agreed to provide financial reward to transport four men of military age from Ukraine to Poland.

Border guards of the operational and search unit of Lviv Border Guard Detachment in cooperation with investigators of Sambir Police Department of the National Police in Lviv region conducted authorized searches in the offenders' premises. Mobile phones, draft records and two vehicles were confiscated from their places of residence. The actions were conducted under the procedural supervision of Sambir District Prosecutor's Office.

Investigators notified the person involved of being suspected of committing a criminal offense. The court imposed on the organizer of the illegal scheme a preventive measure in the form of keeping in jail with the right to be released on bail which amounted to almost UAH 540 thousand. The investigation is still going on.
