At the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, officials of the State Border Guard Service detained a car wanted by Interpol as stolen. A Czech-registered vehicle crossed the border at the Tisa BCP.

At the Ukrainian-Hungarian border, officials of the State Border Guard Service detained a car wanted by Interpol as stolen. A Czech-registered vehicle crossed the border at the Tisa BCP.

During the inspection of documents for a 2017 Lexus car driven by a 50-year-old Russian citizen, the Interpol database alerted. It is to be noted that the car was entered into the database as stolen in the Czech Republic on March 15, and in the evening of March 16, it was detained by border guards on the border with Hungary.

The car and the documents were handed over to the National Police. The signs of the crime under Article 289 of the Criminal Code "Illegal possession of a vehicle" are suspected in the actions of the Russian national.

In total, since the beginning of the year, the State Border Guard Service detected 11 cars that were on the international wanted list.
