Law enforcement officers have dismantled a channel that illegally transported conscripted men to Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia

The group involved in smuggling men liable for military service across the border was exposed by law enforcement officers in Transcarpathian region.

The group consisted of residents of Transcarpathia, each of whom performed their own tasks. The criminals searched for "clients" in all regions of Ukraine, and then transported them to Hungary, Romania, or Slovakia.

Recently, during a criminal investigation opened based on materials from the Mukachevo BG Detachment, a joint interagency group composed of officers from the Main Operational and Investigative Department of the Mukachevo BG Detachment, the SSU Military Counterintelligence Department and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zakarpattia region under the procedural supervision of the Zakarpattia Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Western region detained three suspects who were trying to smuggle five Ukrainian citizens across the Ukrainian-Slovak border.

The criminals were caught red-handed at the moment of receiving payment for the illegal transfer. The smugglers were supposed to receive $20,400 in total for the transportation of the five individuals.

Three suspects involved in the criminal proceedings have already been served a notice of suspicion in committing the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
