Joint actions of border guards and police to combat drug trafficking are underway.

During the last week, using operational information officers of the operational and search unit of the Berdyansk Border Guard Detachment and the Azov Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Zaporizhia region found cannabis plantations in two settlements of Melitopol district.

As a result of the measures taken in the villages of Nadezhdyne and Dobrivka, law enforcement officers found 25 bushes of drug-containing plants, weighing more than 40 kg and about 1 kg of dried cannabis.

The “herb”, which was grown with signs of cultivation, after the necessary procedures, will be destroyed by law enforcement officers.
