During the past year there was an increase in passenger traffic on the state border of Ukraine.

In total, passenger traffic increased by 18% compared to the previous year and amounted to 39 million people.

At the same time, during border control measures, the representatives of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine refused to allow about 46,000 people to cross the border, it is almost twice as many as last year. The number of unaccepted foreigners was almost 31 thousand.

The main reasons for refusing to cross the border for foreign citizens, as in the previous year, were quarantine restrictions and failure to confirm the purpose of the trip to our country. The reasons for refusing to cross the border for our citizens were invalid documents, absence of parent permission and a prohibition on leaving the country.

It should be noted that the largest number of foreigners who were refused to enter Ukraine, as in the year before last, are Russian citizens. Their number increased almost by 2.5 times and amounted to about 7 thousand people.

The number of Moldovan citizens, who were refused to enter Ukraine, increased by almost three times (more than 5,300 people). In addition, quite often Ukrainian border guards had to refuse to cross the border to citizens of India (1435), as well as Romania (1399), Poland (1319), Egypt (1114) and Belarus (765).

On the other hand, statistics show that the number of Israeli citizens who were not allowed to enter Ukraine has dropped significantly.
