In the Volyn region, with the participation of the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrskyi, joint tactical and special exercises within the framework of the joint special operation "Polissia" were held at the site of the Dolsk Border Gua

As part of the large-scale exercises, possible scenarios were modeled, and clear actions of all state mechanisms were planned. The forces and means involved worked to counter the attempts of many migrants who tried to break through the border in the direction of the BCP and beyond by damaging the border engineering barriers. In addition, security forces trained to detain small and block large groups of migrants who broke through and penetrated the territory of Ukraine and eliminated the consequences of the fire.

“Due to the fact that we are conducting a joint special border operation “Polissia”, which is already known to all our unfriendly neighbors, we now do not see the activity of illegal migrants’ groups” - said the Head of the State Border Service Sergei Deineko. He added that the SBGS intelligence does not monitor the activities of illegal migrants’ groups. “We see intimidation by the secret services of the unfriendly state, we see the possible redirection of migrants. The purpose of the exercises is to coordinate the actions of all services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in case the situation escalates” , - he stressed.

In addition, Denis Monastyrskyi noted that, unfortunately, there is currently no equipped border with the Republic of Belarus. This is a serious challenge for next year. It is a question of building state borders – the presence of not only fidget, but also an intellectual border, which signals the presence of danger or crossing.

It will be recalled that the Polissia border operation began on November 23. It is carried out due to the probable complication of the situation on the border with the Republic of Belarus due to the threat of the spread of an artificial migration crisis. The activities are coordinated by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and are carried out jointly with the forces of the National Guard, the National Police, the Security Service, the Armed Forces, the State Emergency Service, and other involved reserves. The work of the Interdepartmental Coordination Headquarters at all levels has been organized to manage the operation and exchange information.
