Another attempt of tobacco smuggling was stopped by border guards of Mukachevo border guard detachment on the border with Romania.

During the operative information implementation about possible illegal activities, at about 4 a.m. border patrol of “Dilove” border guard division together with the operative-search division officers noticed people moving towards the border with packages on their shoulders. The servicemen began to pursue the unknown people at once, but the offenders, were in significant distance from the border guard patrol started to escape. At the area where the smugglers were noticed, border guards found 8 packages containing almost 4,000 packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.

The smuggled tobacco was taken by border guards to the border unit.
