During the day, there were seven cases where servicemen of the Mukachevo detachment detained eleven men, citizens of Ukraine of conscription age. All of them tried to get to Romania outside the checkpoints.

Offenders were stopped by border guards near the settlements of Velykyi Bychkiv, Dilove, Hrushovo, Veliatyno and Yablunivka.

In order to violate the border three men arrived from Kharkiv region, two from Mykolaiv region, two from Zhytomyr region, one from Poltava, one from Zaporizhzhia and two detainees were from Zakarpattia. The men were charged with committing an offense and the case was sent to the court.

In total, during this week, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment detained 44 conscript men, half of them were detained due to the information received from officers of the detachment’s operative and investigative units.

Furthermore, during the implementation of the information received by operatives, six smugglers of conscripted men were exposed.

Currently, measures to expose all of those involved in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the border are ongoing.
