In Zakarpattia, border guards of Dilove border guard division of Mukachevo BG Detachment detained two men who claimed that they were going to climb Hoverla.

One of the detainees is a 34-year-old resident of Kharkiv, the other is a 19-year-old resident of Kyiv. The purpose of the arrival in Zakarpattia was mountain tourism, while the Kyiv resident had neither the appropriate equipment nor warm clothes. As for Kharkiv resident, the man was well-prepared for a long outdoor stay.

During the interview, border guards found out that the real purpose of their arrival in Zakarpattia was not to admire the mountain scenery, but to have an attempt to cross the border with Romania illegally.

The detainees were taken to the border guard unit for drawing up reports of administrative offenses.

In brief, during the day, six people tried to cross the state border with Romania illegally - three Zakarpattia residents, a Kyiv resident, a Kharkiv resident, and a Donetsk resident. They were prevented by patrols from Velyky Bychkiv, Bohdan, and Solotvyno border guard inspector sections.

Two more "tourists" from Dnipro and Odesa were detained on the border with Hungary by border guards of the Luzhanka BG division.
