Illegal business on the Ukrainian-Polish border was prevented by border guards of the Lutsk border guard detachment.

Border guards, taking into account the possible risks of illegal movement of goods, initiated an in-depth inspection of the truck, which went to Ukraine through the border crossing point “Yahodyn”.

The driver of the truck from the Netherlands carried almost 20.5 tons of cocoa powder, which value is more than 39,000 euros.

During the joint inspection with the customs officers, it was established that the declared value of the cargo did not correspond to the actual one and was underestimated several times.

The goods were confiscated by the State Customs Service in accordance with the established procedure. Its value is over 4.7 million hryvnias.
