The Canine Training Centre of the State Border Guard Service provides training of dog handlers and service dogs not only for the needs of the department, but also for the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine.

Thus, for the second time on the basis of the Centre personnel of the Department of State Protection of Ukraine with their four-legged friends are being trained. Service dogs face special tasks - to ensure the protection of the first persons of the state.

The sense of smell of such dogs is unique, because they are able to detect explosive objects that cannot be found even with a metal detector. So, on the basis of the Centre, the dogs will be trained for searching for weapons and explosives.

Finding an explosive is the most difficult task, as it requires more concentration from the dog and full interaction with the dog handler. Upon detecting a dangerous object, the dog should warn the master, but in no case take in the teeth and move it with his paw, as the detected object may explode.

Four-legged brothers Karat and Lucky, who are currently undergoing training, are excellent students. They can easily find explosives at various sites.

Upon completion of such training and passing exams, dog handlers will receive the certificates.
