Illegal transaction with excisable goods was stopped yesterday in Zakarpattya by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment’s Main Operation and Investigation Department together with the patrol police officers.

During the implementation of operational information law enforcement officers stopped a minibus “Mercedes Sprinter” driven by a 37-year-old citizen of Ukraine in the city of Mukachevo. In the luggage compartment of the vehicle the man was carrying 15 cases of cigarettes without excise tax marks of Ukraine.

The cars and cigarettes were taken away from the Ukrainian according to the standard procedure. Information about this fact was entered in the URPI. In case of proving the man’s guilt in court, he faces a fine of five thousand to ten thousand untaxed minimum incomes of citizens.
