The personnel of the "Dilove" border service division received information that Romanian border guards detained two people who illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Romanian border in the area of Mount Pip Ivan Marmaroskyi

The detainees turned out to be citizens of Ukraine. They reported that there were four other men with them who disappeared from their sight.

The border guards immediately organized joint search operation with their Romanian colleagues, which continues to this day. Today, helicopters on both sides of the border are involved in the search.

The search operation is complicated by high snow cover and poor visibility, which prevents the use of automobile equipment.

The chief commanders of the Mukachevo border detachment warn all hikers to refrain from hiking in the highlands in order to preserve life and health.
