As it was previously reported, West-2023 Operation continues on the western borders.

In addition to border guards, the joint special operation involves officers of the State Security Service of Ukraine, the National Police, the National Guard, as well as representatives of state authorities and local governments.

Recently, in order to increase the effectiveness of measures and ensure public safety and order in the border area, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine decided to involve personnel of higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the operation.

After a preparatory stage with the cadets, during which they were briefed on the situation in the border area and the specifics of the work of border guard units, the future police officers began their service as part of border patrols.

Over the past day, border guards of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment in cooperation with the National Guard and cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, prevented 5 attempts to violate the border, resulting in the detention of 6 men who were planning to enter Romania illegally.

The violators were looking for the easiest places to cross the border outside the BCPs. However, at Dilove, Tiachiv, and Yablunivka border crossing points, joint law enforcement patrols exposed and detained them. To get to the neighboring country, three of the men came from Kyiv region, the rest of them arrived from Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Chernihiv regions.

In order to clarify all the circumstances and draw up reports on the offense, the detainees were taken to the border guard units.

At present, operatives of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment are identifying the persons involved in the organization of illegal transportation of persons across the state border.
