In Transcarpathia region serviceman of “Velyka Palad” Border Guard Division prevented the attempt of illegal transferring of cigarettes.

Border guards found out about the probable smuggling attempt from the local resident. According to this information border guards detected a group of people with contraband cigarettes near the state border. Border guards started to persecute offenders, and fired two warning shots into the air. But, violators managed to escape.

Near the border smugglers left 48 boxes of cigarettes, wrapped in black polyethylene. Also border guards detected special wooden footbridge for overcoming the drag road.

Packages with 24 thousand packs of cigarettes of different marks were delivered to “Velyka Palad” Border Guard Division.

And in Bukovina region border guards of Chernivtsy Border Guard Detachment found the hole in the barrier fence and traces, leading  to the  border with Romania.
