The other day, officers of the internal and personal security department of the Chop border detachment detained two offenders for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.

As part of a joint interdepartmental group, which also included employees of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Transcarpathian Region of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police of Ukraine, Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian Region, officers of the Department of Internal Security stopped a group of Ukrainian citizens who were heading to Slovakia 500 meters from the state border. The organizer of illegal transportation tried to transfer a 37-year-old «client» from Ukraine to Slovakia. Both were the residents of the Kharkiv region.

In addition, the offender gave the border guard of the «Uzhhorod» division a bribe in the amount of 18,900 hryvnias for providing information on the placement of border guards at the border. He needed this information to plan the travel route.

In the course of implementation of the criminal proceedings materials on the basis of criminal offenses, the organizer of the Ukrainian citizen transfer was detained and placed in a solitary confinement of the the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Transcarpathian Region.

The man whom he escorted to the state border was taken to the «Onokivtsi» special premises to draw up administrative and procedural documents. The case will be referred to the court.
