Border guards detained a 38-year-old citizen of Moldova, in the village of Nova Tsarychanka, the Odesa region, 10 kilometres from the border.

According to operative information, the servicemen of the Belgorod-Dniester detachment detained a foreigner who was wanted by Interpol for committing a number of criminal offenses. The offender tried to enter the territory of Ukraine illegally bypassing the checkpoints.

Border guards detained a 38-year-old citizen of Moldova, in the village of Nova Tsarychanka, the Odesa region, 10 kilometres from the border.

As it turned out, the foreigner has been on the international wanted list since 2016. According to the court decision of Moldova, the offender was sentenced to 6 years in prison for crimes such as “robbery”, “intentional bodily harm”, “disorderly conduct” and “theft”.

The offender was handed over to the law enforcement officials of Moldova.
