Law enforcement officers exposed a scheme of illegal import of branded clothing and gadgets into Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian aid using fake documents.

At the initiative of operatives of the Lviv Border Detachment an inspection of a Volvo truck was carried out, which followed to Ukraine through the Krakivets BCP. According to the documents, it was transporting humanitarian aid. However, the search revealed 14 pallets and more than 950 boxes of computers and mobile phones of world-famous brands, as well as expensive women's shoes and branded clothing.

The value of the confiscated goods is over 70 million hryvnias. The cargo was confiscated, and forensic examinations were ordered.

Investigative actions continue. All those involved in the commission of this criminal offense are currently being identified.

Exposure measures were carried out by operatives of the Lviv Border Detachment together with the investigators of the preliminary investigation sector of the Yavoriv District Police Department of the State Penitentiary Service in the Lviv region under the procedural guidance of the Yavoriv District Prosecutor's Office.
