Law enforcement officers confiscated more than 2 tons of alcohol and more than 13,000 packs of cigarettes.

Recently, the operatives of the Lutsk Border Detachment together with SFS officers stopped a Volkswagen Crafter minibus driven by a local resident on the outskirts of Rivne.

In the luggage compartment of the vehicle, a joint interdepartmental group found 234 five-liter bottles of alcohol and 15 boxes of tobacco products, which the driver was about to sell illegally.

Subsequently, the law enforcement officers found more than a thousand liters of alcohol and more than 5,000 packs of cigarettes in the garage of the “entrepreneur”.

The events were held under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

In total, law enforcement officers confiscated 2.2 thousand liters of counterfeit alcohol and more than 13 thousand packs of cigarettes of various brands from the citizen of Rivne. The investigation is ongoing.
