According to operational information, border guards of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi detachment detained a foreign recidivist who illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Moldovian border beyond the established border crossing points.

The man, who was traveling from Moldova to Ukraine, was detained by a border patrol near the village of Udobne. The violator was a 26-year-old Moldovian citizen.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers found out that it was not the first time they had detained a foreigner. In recent years alone, it has fallen into the hands of border guards three times.

For repeated attempts to enter the territory of Ukraine in an illegal way, the man in 2018 was denied entering Ukraine for 10 years. In the fall of 2021, he again tried to cross the border illegally and again received a 10-year ban on entering Ukraine.

But this did not stop the persistent Moldovian citizen. He again crossed the border illegally yesterday. But the result was obvious – he was detained by border guards and once again issued a decision denying entry to the territory of our state for a period of 10 years.

Currently, the foreigner will not be able to enter the territory of Ukraine until 2048.

Also, in addition to administrative liability, the foreigner faces criminal liability. In response to the case, the border guards sent a message to the competent authorities about the detection of signs of a crime.

In accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, in case of non-compliance with the decision concerning denying entry to Ukraine, foreigners and stateless persons are prohibited from further entry to Ukraine for ten years. It is attached to the part of the period of Prohibition of entry to Ukraine that had not expired until the second “to refuse the entry to Ukraine” decision was made.
