Two men were detained yesterday by border guards of Izmail border guard detachment at the state border near Kotlovyna village of Reni community.

The border patrol caught violators red-handed when they illegally crossed the border from the territory of Moldova to Ukraine. Seeing the border guards, they started to run back to the neighboring state, but were stopped by a warning shot upwards. As it turned out, at the beginning of the large-scale offensive of the russian federation, they were "sitting out" abroad, realizing that the situation had become safer, they decided to return to their families.

Currently, a report on an administrative offense has been drawn up against a 39-year-old resident of Izmail district. Another violator, who did not have documents with him, but introduced himself as a citizen of Azerbaijan, will have procedural documents drawn up after establishing his identity. The court will decide on the cases.
