To counteract terrorist threats and illegal armed formations the border guards of Kramatorsk detachment together with the police representatives detected and detained a citizen of Ukraine, who was involved in illegal armed activities.

Having received the information about one of the citizens of Ukraine who in 2014 actively participated in the riots in Kramatorsk, border guards sent a message to the Criminal Police Directorate of NP Administration of Ukraine in Donetsk region about the crime under Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ( "Creating a paramilitary armed formations not provided by the law").

The group of operational and investigative department of Kramatorsk detachment and the group of counteraction to separatism of NP Administration of Ukraine in Donetsk region detained aforementioned citizen of Ukraine.

During the investigation the detainee admitted that he participated in illegal armed formations of the so-called "DNR" and was involved directly in performing service at the checkpoints.

Currently, the citizen detained by the police until pretrial release.
