Local residents of border area helped border guards of the Kharkiv border guard detachment to stop a teenager who illegally crossed the State Border from Russia to Ukraine.

The local resident informed the district inspector of the State Border Guard Service about the movement of an unknown person from border to the rear of Ukraine. The information was immediately passed to the Border Guard Division.

A border guard detail, which immediately moved to the area, stopped the boy. It turned out that he crossed the border illegally near the village of Mali Prokhody. The boy had no identity documents.

According to the boy, he just turned 15 years old. He is a citizen of the Russian Federation and is traveling from the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation to Ukraine in search of a better life.

Activities are underway to establish the identity of the boy.
