The desperate teenagers, born in 2007 and 2009, were discovered yesterday at one of the border crossing points.

The border guards noticed a boy and a girl without any documents who were heading towards Kharkiv. During the investigation, law enforcement officials found out that their parents had reported them missing in Kirovohrad region and had entered their information into the law enforcement database.

The 15-year-old boyfriend and 13-year-old girlfriend told the border guards that they love each other and had disagreements and arguments with their parents who did not support their relationship. Therefore, the young couple decided to run away from their homes. The “fugitives in love” were handed over to competent law enforcement officials to be returned to their parents.
