Recently, the Chernivtsi detachment border guards record an increase in attempts to illegally transport tobacco products on the Ukrainian border with Romania and actively combat these offenses.

Quite often, the bold actions of violators endanger border guards lives.

Thus, the border detail of the «Krasnoilsk» department found a Nissan SUV near the Ukrainian border with Romania.

SBGS military request to stop was ignored. The vehicle continued its movement in the direction of the border detail without stopping. The dangerous maneuver also endangered military lives and health. Warning shots fired upwards and in the direction of the car wheels did not stop the driver. The vehicle quickly disappeared from the scene.

In the evening, the law enforcement officers received information from the Storozhynetsk Central Hospital medical workers about a request for help from a man with a gunshot wound to the soft parts of the left hand. The person’s state of health is satisfactory. Later, at the 41-year-old man's residence address, a Nissan all-terrain vehicle without license plates was found.

Law enforcement agencies of the Chernivtsi region were informed about this situation in order to find out all the circumstances of the offense. There is an investigation into this case.
