Illegal movement of goods was prevented by border guards of Chernihiv detachment.

The truck, which, according to the documents, was transporting used electric scooters and batteries for them to the address of a Ukrainian company, arrived at the checkpoint «Novi Yarylovychi» from Belarus.

However, taking into account a number of factors that indicate the possible commission of illegal activities, the operational staff of Chernihiv Border Guard detachment together with customs officers initiated an in-depth inspection of the vehicle.

As a result of inspection and counting of goods, law enforcement officers found that the owners of the goods, in order to reduce customs payments, have made a declaration of 200 new batteries for electric scooters under the guise of used ones.

The cargo was seized by the employees of the State Customs Service. The total value of the seized goods was 2 million hryvnias.
