Illegally cut down pines and spruces, as well as the car in which they were transported, were delivered to the penalty area in accordance with the established procedure.

As part of the special operation “Polissya”, a patrol consisting of servicemen of the Volyn border guard detachment and employees of the Kovel Regional Police Department detected a car with illegally cut down trees at the border.

A Volvo truck was stopped by police for inspection near the village of Pishcha in the Kovel region. There were more than 400 pine trees and almost a dozen Christmas trees in the car. The 43-year-old driver did not have duly issued documents for the cargo. In addition, the trunks lacked the necessary tags.
