Serhii Deineko visited the positions held by the border guards of the Ukrainian Defence Forces in Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Together with the Head of the Eastern Regional Directorate and unit commanders, they discussed the situation in the areas where the border guards are holding defense and considered priority measures to improve the effectiveness of countering the enemy. The Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine underlined the importance of cooperation with all components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to increasing the capabilities of unmanned aerial vehicles and the effective use of UAVs for reconnaissance and destruction of equipment and manpower of the russian occupation forces.

They also discussed the issues of comprehensive support and identified ways to improve the logistical component of the combat work of the border guard units.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Deineko presented state awards and departmental insignia to the soldiers who are currently fighting in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, Siversk, Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk sectors.

The Head of the State Border Guard Service thanked the border guards for their professional actions in repelling and deterring russian armed aggression and wished them a sooner Victory.
