In Odesa Border Guard Detachment of the Maritime Guard, the conscripts were sent off solemnly to the reserve. They have served for a year and a half in the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service.

All of them, eight young men were members of crews of ships and boats of the Maritime Guard, went to sea repeatedly to protect the marine borders of Ukraine, mastered all peculiarities of the service at sea in practice. The boys were lucky to take part in the international training, to serve on the flagship of the Maritime Guard, and to detain violators of border legislation.

So, while performing their military duties, each of them has mastered a new and sometimes completely unexpected profession, and some of them have even managed to acquire two specialties.

Young men say that they see themselves at home in thoughts, and they go to their native places with a lot of luggage - courage, victory, responsibility, cohesion, patriotism, honour, elbow feeling. These traits and qualities are now engraved in their characters. They are grateful to the commanders and senior comrades who took care of them, always helped them to master the maritime profession and were there in any situation.

One time, these young men dreamt of the sea, and now they know that it can also be quite unfriendly. But they like such hardening and will have only benefits from their service experience.

The headquarters of Odesa Border Guard Detachment awarded young men with memorable diplomas for conscientious performance of the military duty, diligence and exemplary military discipline. A letter of gratitude was sent to the parents of sailor Rodion Dmytrenko with words of gratitude for bringing up their son.

It is worth noting that more than half of the conscripts joined the service last spring, combined their destinies willingly with the Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service and remained in the contract service, as the border guard profession is honourable and prestigious. And the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine values ​​and respects every border guard, takes care of the personnel, improves the social security system and it is a socially responsible institution.
