The operative officers of the State Border Guard Service are taking measures to identify the persons involved in the operation.

Border guards have recently found hidden tobacco products in a freight train at the Volodymyr-Volynskyi railway border crossing point. Border guards received information about possible illegal transportation of contraband cigarettes from operative officers.

While inspecting the freight train, border guards of the Lutsk border guard detachment found more than 6,000 packs of cigarettes of various brands in one of the open railroad freight cars. Tobacco products were hidden among the sheet metal.

In addition, border guards found a GPS tracker in the carriage, which has already become a so-called «business card» of smugglers, and is used to quickly identify goods.
