In Transcarpathia, Mukachevo border guards detained two men who tried to cross the border illegally outside checkpoints

The servicemen of the Velykyi Bychkiv border service exposed them 30 meters from the border, during the implementation of information provided by the internal and internal security officers of the State Border Guard Service. The father and son, aged 52 and 27, were detained. They arrived in Transcarpathia from the city of Kharkiv. It was planned to get across the border across the Tisza River.

The detained citizens of Ukraine were taken to the border unit. During the search of the men's personal belongings, border guards found almost 97 thousand euros, more than 70 thousand US dollars, more than 90 thousand hryvnias and 3 gold bars weighing 300 grams.

The border guards informed the customs officers about this fact and upon their arrival handed over the valuables to them.

Border guards are currently identifying people who may be involved in organizing their illegal border crossings.
