Illegal migrants were found by border guards of Lviv and Volyn border guard detachments, and Polish colleagues.

For one thing, the inspector of “Nyzhankovychi” division, in Lviv region, was reported by local residents about the presence of a stranger in the border area. Subsequently, a response team detained a foreigner on his way to Poland a few dozen meters from the state border. The 46-year-old “traveler” had documents of a Turkish citizen with him and entered Ukraine legally.

And for another thing, residents of one of the border villages in Volyn were vigilant enough to take notice of the strangers. At midnight, they informed the border guards about a group of unknown people moving in the direction of a neighboring state. Without wasting time, the men from Morozovychi division informed their Polish colleagues about the 'uninvited' guests and set off to detain them. After catching one foreigner, the Ukrainian border guards informed their foreign neighbors about the direction where he was detained and the traces of accomplices that led towards the Western Bug River. In the end, the Polish Guard detained two more men. According to the detainee who was apprehended in Ukraine, he and his accomplices were natives of Turkey, but he had no documents to confirm it.

Now all the circumstances of the offense and the identity of illegal migrants are being established, and the issue of applying the readmission procedure for persons detained by Polish law enforcement officers is being resolved.

For attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine, the men have to appear in court, which will give a legal assessment of their actions.
