At Diakove BCP, border guards of Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment together with customs officers prevented an attempt to smuggle cigarettes across the Ukrainian-Romanian border.

A 52-year-old Romanian citizen who arrived at the BCP by a Mercedes car tried to transport the tobacco products secretly. With the aim of illegal profit, the man placed 130 packs of cigarettes into the structural voids under the decorative lining of the vehicle's luggage compartment.

The cigarettes and the 2010 car were confiscated from the foreigner. The value of the seized items is being currently estimated.
